Spider

another strand is threaded
stronger than before
could it hold a life
or hold nothing more
than a thought, a fear
it won’t keep me here

another bend is breaking
takes longer than before
could it be right
or be nothing more
than someone caught in the web
that won’t keep me here

and if a shadow comes
it will consume
it will consume

another woven masterpiece
glistening, attracts
it’s nothing more
no, nothing more
than manifest fear
can’t keep me here
can’t keep me here
can’t keep me here
won’t keep me here
