Mistranslated Latin Tattoo Blog

So amusing.

I fully enjoy a reader’s comment:

“On a related note, my Chinese friend always has fun watching people with Chinese alphabet tattoos. He once met a girl who had a tattoo of a Chinese character for love on her shoulder. Except she had no idea that the character actually stood for “soy sauce”.”

I find it crazy that people getting latin tattoos don’t get them checked first. I have a great one on my back with a poetry quote. I went to this website i’ve seen recommended – classical turns – and got a proper translation that i know is defo right. I feel so sorry for people that have bad tattoos on them for life. This website I went to for my translation has a really funny page on tats that have gone wrong – http://www.classicalturns.com/Oddities%281874997%29.htm
