in a thousand couple hundred tries
shines a sun in a pocket lantern

I have combo ideas you could never guess
I take what is left, and make it a mess
a mess which no other has known

I am fully willing to buy my own way
to earn it and learn it and do it again
to shout when I say, “I’m no comedienne”
I’ve just branded a humour to call my own
