A sad post today.
For those of you who know me, you know that I haven’t always loved Kingston, but that I’ll be very sad to leave here tomorrow.
I will miss many things about this town, but mostly my friends. I know it’s cliché to talk about stuff like this, but that’s only because it happens so often, people get tired of hearing about it. It means a lot to me, though.
I try to never have regrets, but if I could have rearranged what has happened over the last 6 years, I probably would have tried to reintegrate myself into the university life sooner, so I could have enjoyed more time with my (relatively) new friends. But, then again, circumstances happened to have lined up just right so I was able to meet them, and that might not have happened had it been a few years before. It’s just sad to see everyone scattering, and to know I’m one of the scatterers.
I wish everyone the best, and I sincerely hope we can all keep in touch. I’ll try to visit Kingston as much as possible, and if any of you would like to visit me in Barrie, please do!
I’m sad to say, I’m on my way
I won’t be back for many a day
My heart is down, my head is turning around
I had to leave a little girl in Kingston town
