Hey all, I’m here for a little update. Not for me, for you. Clearly. 😉
Benji has a new friend.
For those of you who don’t know me, or don’t know me very well, my computer — Benji — is going to be 7 years old this September, and he has done me a great deal of work in his many years of service. He has performed well, allowing me to learn his quirks and little preferences and adjust accordingly. It is time, however, for dear Benji to retire. In recent times, he has begun sighing again, mimicking an illness he had a few years ago and luckily overcame. I have provided him temporary relief in the form of quick blasts of air in an attempt to remove the built-up blockages in his lungs, but I know that at his age, problems tend to lead to other problems, and at any point he might start sliding down the quick slope of illness. It is for this reason my parents decided to adopt me a new pet — a
lapdog laptop! — to ease some of poor Benji’s worries. This new darling loves to snuggle on my lap, enjoys lots of attention, and can even be taken for walks. His memory’s better than mine and Benji’s combined, doesn’t need to be tied up with cords to behave well. He is a wonderful new addition to the family, and after getting to know him a bit better, I shall give him a name. Benji can never be replaced in my heart, and I hope these two will become fast friends.
